About Me
- Simon Kirwan
- Welcome to my personal weblog. I am a photographer based in Merseyside in north west England. I produce architectural, aerial, lifestyle, and event photography for advertising agencies, picture libraries, corporate clients and publishers. In 2000, I was named The Observer Outdoor Photographer of the Year, and have published a series of regional landscape, panoramic, and aerial books on England and Wales. I'm currently working on Wales From the Air, and North West England Landscapes. I try to spend part of each year travelling, visiting new destinations, and generating images for my travel picture library. I'm currently taking an MA in International Photojournalism, Documentary and Travel photography at Bolton University, and will be using this blog as a journal to document and record some of my projects. At the moment, I'm working on a travelogue based on a cycling tour of the Western Isles of Scotland, or Outer Hebrides if you prefer, and a documentary study of Polish people working in Sefton in north Merseyside.
